Esta es una de las mejores bandas de la historia del rock , un estilo musical muy varido blues-rock,country ...en realidad una mezcla exquisita ,dejando fascinado al oído de todos....nadie puede dudar del talento del vocalista Ronnie VanZant en la composición y el triplete de guitarristas conformado por Ed King con su Fender Stratocaster, Allen Colins con su Gibson Firebird y Gary Rossington con su Gibson Les Paul, fueron los cimientos básicos para la creación de este primer Lp, "Pronaunced Leh-Nerd Skin-Nerd"(1973) una obra maestra del rock producida por el genial Al Cooper.
Entre sus 8 temas las que mas destacan, particularmente a mi me parecen las mejores"Freebird", Simple Man" y "Tuesday's Gone".
